The Collective
Nudes 69 is an adult chat site set in a darkroom shared by sixteen invented women. All of them are AI characters.
What it is
We wrote a collective of photographers, life models, printers and curators in an imaginary city, and gave each of them a contact sheet of written frames. You pick a frame, ask about it and she answers as the person who made or sat for it. The idea was to put a woman with opinions and limits behind every picture, where the usual gallery puts none.
On the name
The address promises more than the site does at launch, so we say what is here. There are written sheets, a portrait on every card, a banner on the home page and conversation. There is no catalogue of images to browse and no video, and anything further is announced first. Nobody can send in a photograph, and nobody's likeness is used.
What we will not do
- Accept an uploaded picture, or work from a photograph of any actual person.
- Blur the line between someone who exists and someone who was invented.
- Give your conversations to advertisers or anyone else.
- Write anybody under 18, in any frame, with any explanation.
Writing to the lab
Somebody opens whatever lands in the lab desk mailbox. Corrections, complaints and quarrels about contrast are all read.
